When parents start sending their children off to school the first year or two can be extremely stressful.
My baby was always what you would call clingy. When preschool started she was able to find her independence quite easily on her own. She was like "bye mom" and when i picked her up like "do i have to leave school?"

This threw me for a loop. I didn't want one of those children who threw a fit when mom tries to leave but I didn't want her to be so nonchalant either. It was very hard for me to see my beautiful little baby as a confident little lady ready to face the world without holding mommy's hand. After all our children are at school for approximately 240 days a year.
- The other children can influence your child's behavior
- Doing well in school now is crucial to becoming successful
- College is coming (whether your child is in K or 12th grade)
- Back to School Shopping can cost a bundle
- What if you can't help them
- What if they are barraged by harmful information
- What if they fall off the jungle gym
- What if they are bullied
- Can they make friends
- Will you get along with the other parents
Kindergarten just started for her at a new school and she is ready to go yet again. I am fortunate enough to be able to spend a lot of time with my kids but I am working hard now to get organized enough to stay home full time. I have been working part time for pretty much my children's whole lives, other than their first year.
I have a new baby on the way and see this next year and a half or so as my opportunity to change my life and the life of my children. See my entry about getting started with blogging.
